Wind Turbine Applications

Turbine Blade Vibration Damper

Turbine Blade Vibration Dampers are mainly installed in turbine blades greater than 40m in length. Located in the turbine blade tip, the polyurethane dampers prevent lateral resonance, thereby maximising the performance of the blade, and limiting stresses.

Turbine Blade Balancing Blocks

Turbine Blade Balancing Blocks optimise the performance of the turbine blade by preventing excessive vibration generation. The high density polyurethane blocks are placed at precise locations along the length of the turbine blade.

Main Bearing Seals

Main Bearing Seals are manufactured from extremely hard, abrasion resistant polyurethane. The seals can be moulded up to 2 metres in diameter, in a variety of internal configurations, and are integral to the performance of the wind turbine.

Hydropholic Seal

Hydrathane XP Seals are produced from a unique hydrophilic polymer system which has a swell ratio of up to 400% when exposed to seawater, yielding unique sealing properties, vital for protection of components in offshore environments.
